"Wings Over Seadrift, Day of Grace!"

Castaway Lodge Seadrift Report

Duck action tight to the blocks has been better than expected with a light push from the North dropping water levels just enough to let us get in and out over several days with solid straps of puddle ducks and divers.  Fishing on the flats after duck hunts continues well above seasonal norms and success rates with fish staying shallow and NOT "holing up".  No severe temperatures isn't giving the fish any reason to scoot to deeper waters which is good and bad.  If we get a quick blast, it sure put a dent in the populations that get caught "ultra shallow".

Beyond that we are moving into second gear on construction efforts with the new lodging and additional land acquisitions.  Temperature at the lodge is "smoking hot" and we are very blessed business wise.  Thank you all SO MUCH!

Happy Holidays!
