Coastal Bounty

Rich Southern dining is a specialty at The Lodge and you can't beat Wendi's home cooking. Take a deep breath and let her spoil you with the best tastes of the South. She starts with the freshest ingredients including hand selected produce, local Seafood, grain fed "Choice" meat and Certified Black Angus; and specialty cuts of Pork. Fresh baked goods including deserts and cookies fill the air. For dessert, we've added the best lines "the Cheesecake Factory" has to offer.

New for 2008: For our clients staying multiple days, we've added "You Catch'em, We'll Cook'em" including Blackened Trout and Redfish with Wendi's knee bending Ponchartrain Sauce and a local favorite, "Redfish on the Half Shell".

Rich Southern Dining

At Castaway Lodge you can expect "The Tastes of Texas" made with the freshest ingredients, local produce, and seafood made fresh daily.

  •  Omaha Rib-Eyes, the best come from Nebraska and you'll find the flavor of a "Choice" cut of meat cooked to perfection.
  • End cut Pork Chops cut to our specifications roughly an inch thick with excellent marbleing.
  • Barbequed Chicken
  • Mouth watering slabs of Pork Spare Ribs
  • Pasta Oillo, originating from Italy and incorporating Pasta, Virgin Olive Oil, sauteed scallions, and a variety of meats including steak, chicken, and seafood.
  • Deepdish Casseroles, served with a variety of base ingredients from her knee bending Lasagna to her all NEW Manicotti, "it's all good"!
  • Seadrift Seafood, start with the best and the freshest and the rest is history. When we say that the shrimp or fish "slept in the Gulf last night", we mean it! From local white and brown shrimp, Black Drum, Oysters, and Blue Catfish, Wendi likes to serve it blackened, grilled, and fried.
  • Seafood appetizers
  • Specialty Desserts including tastes from The Cheesecake Factory!
  • Baked Delights, including Wendi's "signature" brownies and chocolate chip cookies.
