Dove, Gator, Hogs “Cast & Blast”
Alligator season opens September 10th and runs through September 30th. Dove Season in the South Zone opens September 20th through November 9th. Come join us for a Cast & Blast combination of your choosing or take it all in with “The Ironman” from September 20th through the 30th. Fish in the morning, Dove hunt the afternoon, Hog hunt at night and fight Gators the next morning. Wendi will keep the horses fresh with the best meals on the Texas Coast and The Lodge is the best place to lay your head down when you get the chance!

What looked like a meltdown in the making for Litigation Solutions, Inc. coming in with a three boat, 2 day trip starting on Friday, August 8th actually turned out better than anticipated based on conditions leading up to the trip.  Capt. James Cunningham took top honors with Trout limits and a couple of Redfish. I managed to squeak in with better than half limits of Trout. Saturday, Capt. James came in with near limits of Trout while I managed 27 for a party of four fishing with Luis G. and guests from Austin. Capt’s Boldt and Medlin put down a hard grind for a handful of Trout.

We didn’t pick up any additional water level with Edouard, tides seem to be constant and slightly on the low side according to Capt. Steve Boldt scouting today ahead of artificial lure trips late week. Late week and into the weekend, we welcomed Clay C. and guests along with Jim K. and a two boat trip. Get’em while it’s early was the motto and all parties managed around half limits on Trout to 20”. It’s interesting how fast the fish are moving, one day there on something and the next day it’s ghost city. That’s what keeps us interested and digging in for success, every day’s a new day at times.
