Blown Up Tides Put Fuel On The Fire!

Duck hunting the mid-Texas Gulf Coast is a time honored tradition here in the heart of the Central Flyway. We have been gunning the mid-coast since 1993. We welcome guests from all over the Nation for the best showcase of waterfowl hunting anywhere in the World. We take pride in our airboat appraoch with big American Airboats offering guests effortless hunting. We take price in working ducks hard over the blocks in "old school uncrowded blinds" reminiscent of the best waterfowl hunting traditions.

Fishing Report - The Hunt for Red October!

We've been riding way above normal tides for several weeks now. Some days it's hard to launch a boat with all the water all the way up into the parking lot. That has had the effect of absolutely lighting the flats on fire with strong schooling activity. Our guides are reporting blistering Redfish and Black Drum action pushing deep in the back marsh over environs many times too shallow under normal conditions. What's good for one endeavor can wreak havoc on another. Flounder gigging has turned into an unpredictable and slow grind here in what is typically a premier month for the flat fish prior to the run and season end 10/31. With so much water in the bays that is turbid and off color, visibility has been very restricted and honestly flounder gigging is a shallow water sport and there just aren't any shallows.

Trout fishing remains strong for guests on wade fishing trips be it artificial or live bait but hasn't been a big go to on boat fishing trips.

We've got lots and lots of great fishing ahead of us. So if you're planning a trip, get started HERE.
