With winds backing down and waters finally shedding some turbidity, we managed to get a look at broader open water reefs and we liked what we saw on Trout. Boat fishing approaches heated up with solid numbers and quality bending the boards. Exactly how long this wind stability will stay with us is anyone’s guess this year. Right now, we will make the most of it.
Heading into late July and August we will traditionally see an explosion in Redfish action working scattered shell and grass pockets as bait matures in estuaries staging up for the Fall migration. We’ll be keeping an eye on them as we head into August and look forward to lots of great fishing ahead.
