The weather is great and the fishing is just as good. The Lodge welcomed a three boat trip with Greg C. partner at Yetter, Warden & Coleman, LLP. Three dads and 6 kids ranging in ages from 7 to 17 made things interesting.
We immediately started working Redfish and Drum over on the flats. First stop we boxed 3 slot Reds and 3 Drum (getting these eager Beavers on a bite quickly was critical to success). I made a quick move to the extreme shallows and the water erupted in a sea of turbidity with Redfish shooting every direction. We made quick work of our limit and the two other boats Captained by James Cunningham and Terry Spoonmore managed the same.
Capt. Kris Kelley was working the Ed G. party of 4 in the back country and he and I both managed limits around 12:30. We are working bait over mud and grass pockets.
