"Hunger Games, Coastal Version"

Castaway Lodge Seadrift Report
By Capt. Kris Kelley
Sponsored by: Mercury Marine; Air Ranger Airboats; Haynie Bay Boats; Baysport Marine Victoria; Castaway Rods; JL Marine; Pure Fishing; and, Bob's Machine Shop.

The boys are in the blinds this morning with guests of Summit Electric. We anticipated the cold front coming in overnight but awoke to socked in fog. Fortunately, the front was in Victoria at N13 and gusting while everyone was eating a hot breakfast. We drug our feet slightly but as luck would have it, the north wind hit just as everyone was finishing up eating and it looked like we were scrambling F-18 Hornet's around here.

We've got to get lucky every now and then and the front arrival couldn't have been timed more perfectly. Just add a little cooperation from the birds and everything will be good. The guests had a nice hunt yesterday afternoon taking full Redhead limits on a "Diver shoot".

Fishing Scene

We just came off the split with duck season closed and during that time our guides just can't help but do some looking around. I just finished up a new video featuring the Castaway Lodge Pro Team checking out topwater action while shining a spotlight on guests from recent trips. Please check it out! We've got our February 2015 Blowout Special going on right now featuring 30% off lodge package trips in February. Catch the details at http://www.seadriftbayfishing.com/About-Us/Pricing

Lodge News

We are wet on the build site so it's hurry up and "hold". I've got to take my hat off the folks at The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for putting a scramble on some requisite inspections here just before Christmas. So to Bradly and Heather, THANK YOU FROM ALL OF US!  #castawayonthebayou #castawaylodge #teamcastawaylodge

Happy Holidays!
