Fishing Report - Classic Success & Cold Water Action
An unseasonably warm Winter carried over much of the Fall fishing trend right into duck season, making for solid Cast & Blast opportunities. Guests made the most of the extended mild weather with great action on the water and in the marsh.
Weather heading into the tournament was gorgeous and we had a great turnout. This is setting up awesome Spring fishing for Redfish and Black Drum schooling and spawning in the back lakes by airboat and bayboat as well.
Castaway Classic Fishing Tournament VII
February 2025 marked our 7th Annual Castaway Classic Fishing Tournament, and it was one for the books! We had a great turnout with 23 awesome teams coming together to support our youth charity mission. The event continues to grow each year thanks to the tremendous generosity of our sponsors and the unwavering support from the community.
Our friends at SeaTow Texas Mid-Coast, Serve Outdoors, and The Mullet Invitational all stepped up big this year.
Wendi Kelley and her team hosted a top-shelf Captain’s Dinner with brisket and pulled pork while Jonathan Davenport took over the tournament this year which was a huge help and ran the rules and logistics with precision as always.
