Fishing Report - Redfish Tight Lipped

Spring Break has decended on the lodge with lots of great folks and eager kiddos visiting for some awesome fishing. Redfish have been a pain for the last few days. All guides reporting seeing plenty of Redfish working the back lakes but they've been real tight lipped the last few days. That's pretty frustrating but Black Drum have saved the day for many with limits coming to hand. The Redfish action will improve and much of it can be dietary. Sometimes they get hung up on something particular and won't touch anything else. Figuring out what that is can be tough. In some locations the Black Drum are so thick they just won't let a Redfish feed, jumping offerings much faster than their more suspicious cousins.

We've been seeing a big uptick in bookings with folks sticking close to home and we welcome everyone to staycation with us. We've also been seeing a lot of folks shifting vacations and heading this way. We're well supplied here at the lodge and our local grocery store and the all new Dollar General (getting ready to open) and the Family Dollar have been well stocked. Seadrift is a quiet little community and here at the lodge we're pretty self sufficient and restaurant suppliers aren't experiencing the supply chain disruptions of grocery stores "at this time". We've also got 110 x 25 garden going nuts and we will again be bringing frest produce to the dinner table.

We've got lots and lots of great fishing ahead of us. So if you're planning a trip, get started HERE.
