Drags Singing In The Rain

Castaway Lodge Seadrift Report

Fishing in the rain has certainly made for some memorable trips over the years. Timing the departure is always most important and we hit it perfectly on Sunday with guests in from as far away as Dallas. With a big tide piled up we went as shallow as we could get with mixed reviews. As we looked over now deeper locations previously holding fish we found they were right where they had been. Mud and grass pockets that should have been abandoned for much skinnier locations were piled up with schools of solid Redfish in the middle slot.

Lodge News - Migration

We're seeing Teal piling onto local marshes along with a few early Pintails. Hummingbirds numbers are building over feeders here at the lodge but nowhere near as thick as they will be with a light "true" front from the North. Stay tuned.
